About the Speakers
Natalie Ramsey, Robinson+Cole LLP
Natalie Ramsey is co-chair of Robinson+Cole’s Bankruptcy + Reorganization Practice Group. She practices in all areas of domestic and international restructurings, crisis management, financings, acquisitions in distressed situations and asset recovery litigation. Natalie is certified by the American Board of Certification accredited by the American Bar Association in Business Bankruptcy and is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
Natalie's role in creditor committee representations includes the chapter 11 cases of Mallinckrodt, Aldrich Pump and Murray Boiler (affiliates of Trane Technologies and Trane U.S.A.), DBMP (an affiliate of CertainTeed), Imerys Talc America, Bestwall (an affiliate of Georgia Pacific), Specialty Products (Bondex), NutraQuest, and Nutri-System. Her lead role in company side restructurings includes the jointly-administered O.W. Bunker USA and O.W. Bunker, N.A. cases, which were awarded the International Restructuring Deal of the Year (Over $500MM to $1B) and Energy Deal of the Year (Over $500MM to $1B) in 2017 by M&A Advisor.
Natalie is ranked in the category of “Star Individuals” in the field of Bankruptcy/Restructuring in Chambers USA. She has been recognized by LawDragon.com as among its 2020 "500 Leading U.S. Bankruptcy and Restructuring Lawyers." In 2017, she was named among Turnaround & Workouts’ “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers of 2017.”
Cari Turner, Alvarez & Marsal
Cari Turner is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s North American Restructuring practice in Dallas. With more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Turner has a diverse background in financial and operational restructuring finance, and operations. She is an experienced advisor to companies in distressed and bankruptcy situations. Ms. Turner’s notable assignments include working with Seadrill Limited, Valaris plc, Windstream Communications, Toys R Us, Key Energy Services, Exide Technologies, Visteon Corporation, Southcross Holdings, Vitro America and Coach America.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Turner spent more than four years as the Director of Finance for Home Interiors and Gifts, Highland Capital Management's largest private equity investment. In this role, she analyzed and implemented various restructuring and strategic planning activities. Ms. Turner also served as Director of Finance for Homemade Gourmet, a direct-selling company. She was responsible for all financial reporting, modeling, analysis and the implementation of operational process improvements. Ms. Turner also spent four years as Director of Financial Reporting for Allied Riser Communications, a start-up telecommunications company. Ms. Turner earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
